Program Overview
The B.Voc in Fashion Technology is a career-oriented undergraduate programme designed to develop creative, technical, and practical skills for the fashion and garment industry. The programme provides students with an understanding of the fashion industry, current trends, commercial production, design development, pattern making, garment construction, and fashion technology.
Students learn how to identify seasonal trends, develop themes, create mood boards and colour boards, and develop complete fashion ranges according to business plans and tech packs. The programme also introduces students to CAD software and emerging technologies such as 3D printing and digital fabric printing, helping them understand modern production and design processes.
With its industry-focused approach, the programme prepares students for opportunities in fashion designing, pattern making, garment production, fashion merchandising, textile designing, fashion styling, photography, marketing, and branding. It also supports students interested in establishing their own boutique, garment business, or fashion enterprise.
The programme is offered for 3 years across 6 semesters and is suitable for students who have completed 10+2 or an equivalent qualification in any stream, along with eligible ITI and Polytechnic diploma holders.
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum eligibility to take admission in B.Voc is 10+2 (in any stream) or equivalent or 2 year ITI Diploma after Class 10th or 3 Year Polytechnic Diploma after Class 10th.
