A dream can be personal, but it can also be tied to something larger. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about this idea during his Independence Day address from the Red Fort on August 15, 2023.
โIf I have a dream, it is for you. If I sweat, it is for you,โ Modi said while addressing the country on its 77th Independence Day. The remark came as he described citizens as his family and spoke about his responsibility towards their aspirations. The full statement was published by the Press Information Bureau.
Narendra Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat. He served as Gujaratโs Chief Minister before becoming Prime Minister in 2014 and beginning his third consecutive term as Prime Minister in 2024.
Across his public speeches, Modi has frequently spoken about dreams, effort, responsibility and the idea that individual aspirations are connected with national progress. In a 2022 address, he said that personal dreams should also be connected with the development of society and the country.
