Yesterday was National Doctors' Day. The day honours the birth and death anniversary of physician and second chief minister of West Bengal, Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy. The day celebrates the doctors and healthcare workers who have been serving the people by risking their lives.
Actress Simran Budharup who is who is portraying the role of Rishita in the show Pandya Store conveys her gratitude towards all the unsung heroes out there.
On the occasion of Doctors' day Simran emphasizes how we can lessen their burden by doing the utmost important thing, ie. 'Wearing a mask'. The actress quirked, "We can lessen their burden by wearing a damn mask! In these crucial times, co-operation is what they expect from us. We can truly pay a tribute to them by actually adhering to their instructions".
Furthermore, she talked about how we can pay tribute to Doctors. She added "By being gracious to them in the utmost sense. They deserve the respect of another kind. People on the verge of emotions go overboard and bash them. And violence towards them should be completely condemned"
At last, Simran stressed how strict laws should be made against people who harm doctors at their workplaces. She suggests, "As I said, there should be a special law enforced against these people. They are putting everything at stake and saving lives so what they are subjected to is very traumatising."
On the professional front, Simran is doing a show on Star Plus titled Pandya Store. She was also seen in shows like Nazar and Durga: Mata Ki Chhaya.
