The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the All India Quota (AIQ) seat matrix for MD and MS courses under the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) Counselling 2026. Candidates seeking admission to postgraduate medical programmes can check the available seats across participating medical colleges on the official website at mcc.nic.in.
The seat matrix provides details of postgraduate medical seats available under AIQ and is intended to help candidates assess their admission options before filling in their college and course preferences. Aspirants are advised to review the available seats, specialisations and participating institutions carefully before making their choices.
According to the MCC seat data, 13,522 AIQ seats are available for MD and MS courses in the 2026 counselling process. MCC has also published separate seat matrices for other categories, including central internal quota, Diplomate of National Board (DNB) programmes and deemed universities.
The seat matrix for NEET PG Counselling 2026 includes 9,201 DNB seats and 7,537 seats in deemed universities, in addition to the AIQ MD and MS seats. Separate documents are available for the different quotas and programmes, allowing candidates to check the relevant seat distribution before proceeding with counselling.
Candidates should note that the availability of seats may vary by institution, speciality and applicable reservation category. Reviewing the official matrix can help aspirants make informed decisions based on their NEET PG rank, preferred specialisation and choice of college.
Round 1 registration for NEET PG Counselling 2026 began on October 12. As per the announced schedule, the registration and fee-payment window is scheduled to close on October 21, while choice filling is scheduled through October 22. Candidates should verify the latest notices on the MCC portal for any changes to the counselling schedule.
