The Climate Change Activist strongly advocates the cause of spreading awareness about the impacts of climate change on life on earth; highlights the problem and easy to start with action points in his eBook for everyone.
India-wide Release, 23rd April 2021: Did you know that over 70% of the surface water resources in India are polluted? Did you know that over 1 million people in India die every year as a result of outdoor air pollution? Did you know that India is the third-highest emitter of CO2 in the world?
Aakash Ranison, a well-known Climate Change Activist and Sustainability Influencer explains it all as he launches an eBook “Climate Change Explained - for one and all” on 22nd April 2021. The book focuses on the serious topic of climate change and how it can affect every individual?s life. The data and information are compiled by a group of sustainable living enthusiasts from various credible sources.
The book will be exclusively available on climateaction.aakashranison.com for free from 22nd April 2021. It will also be available on "Amazon, iBook, & Google Books as well at a nominal cost of INR 20 from 10th May 2021. The profit made from these platforms will be donated to "Spiti Ecosphere" - a social enterprise that focuses on creating sustainable livelihoods through conservation and development of economies - to be used on their climate change drive.
The history of the scientific discovery of climate change began in the early 19th century. Then why is it that even after centuries and with the technology in every hand where information travels at the speed of light humans still don't seem to understand a crisis caused by our choices, consumptions, & daily actions?
Aakash in his book spotlights such topics as the GreenHouse effect, Global Warming, Carbon footprint, and its effect on the earth in the near future. He not only focuses on the problem but also provides easy solutions that can be adopted in our day-to-day life and can help to reduce the outcome of climate change. Aakash also proves that climate change is not a complicated topic to speak about and can be explained in mere simple words and illustrations.
According to the research conducted by his team for the book, India ranks 5th in the Global Climate Risk Index 2020, and the risk factor for the country is increasing every year through rising temperature, increase in (2.4mm) sea level around Mumbai every year, Forest Fires, plastic waste generations, etc. Among other hard hitting facts, the book also states that every year more than 1 million people die as a result of outdoor pollution.
Aakash has been working in the Climate space for over 5 years now, advocating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13 of climate action. Making changes in his lifestyle such as going Vegan, not taking flights, not buying single-use plastic packaged products, limiting textile consumption and aware others for the same.
Aakash strongly believes in the importance of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Upcycle, because „lesser the consumption, lesser the waste, lesser the pollution?.
Expressing his concerns at the launch of his ebook, Aakash says, “Humans are harming nature is one aspect of the CLIMATE CHANGE story. The other aspect is, climate change being a threat to the human species? survival on earth. By destroying nature, we are creating an imbalance in earth?s functioning and if we continue
to do so, that time isn?t far when the earth?s atmosphere won?t be able to support humans or any other life for that matter."
"Today, people might know the term 'Climate Change' but they don?t really know how we humans are causing it and what we can do to stop it. With my book 'Climate Change Explained - for one and all' this is the gap I am trying to fill. My journey of #Sustanibility has been about spreading awareness about climate change and with this project supporting United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13, I hope I can make a difference and we all get to learn about how our daily habits are leaving an impact on climate change”, he further added.
"The spectacular but fragile Himalayas are at the frontlines of climate change. Inadequate snowfall and retreating glaciers have made the communities, especially in the high altitudes of Spiti, extremely vulnerable. We no longer can ignore human activities' impact on nature. We must make sustainable changes in our lifestyle. Aakash's book 'Climate Change Explained for one and all' will help everyone better understand the relationship between nature and humans and help live in harmony with it." says Ishita Khanna, Founder, Spiti Ecosphere.
Here?s a book that motivates the masses to take their first step towards the contribution to fight against climate change and adopt sustainable living
