About Arunachal University of Studies - AUS
Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) is a Private State University established by Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) Act, 2012 (Act No. 9 of 2012). The act was legislated in the eighth session of the fifth Legislative Assembly which received the assent of the Honourable Governor on 26th May, 2012 and published in Extra Ordinary Official Gazette on 30th May, 2012. AUS comes under section 2(f) of UGC Act and it is empowered to award degrees as specified in section 22 of UGC Act of 1956. In addition the University is also empowered to award diplomas, charters, certificates, Pre-University certificates and other academic distinctions in conformity with the provisions of the University Act. Arunachal University of Studies is the first and only University of the eastern part of Arunachal Pradesh. AUS is also the first University of the country to be lit by the sunrise every dawn. It is approved by Bar Council of India and rehabilitation council of India. It is the member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) New Delhi. The University has a large campus of 30 acres which shall be stretched to 100 acres.

The Arunachal University of Studies is situated in District Namsai on main highway NH-52. Namsai is known for its ethnic, linguistic, cultural, religious and physiographical diversity.

Boys Hostel - The University has a boy’s hostel facility with a capacity of 60 beds available on first cum first basis. The hostel has in-house mess facility. The University is planning to expand the hostel facilities to accommodate more students.
Girls Hostel – There is a girl’s hostel inside the campus with a capacity of 60 beds available on first cum first basis. It has in-house mess facility. The premise is well secured with 24x7 security available for the safety of female students.
Library - The library is equipped with more than 10,000 books/ reference material serving the educational need of its students.
Canteen - The University has a well-equipped canteen and serving hygienic food and beverages. The University prefers to use cereals and vegetables grown on its own land through organic farming.
Audio-Video Room - The institute has an audio-video room where students can keep track of latest news and events.
Medical - The campus has a first-aid medical facility available for the patient. Further in case of any emergency the University can assist in transporting the patient to the nearby hospital.
Computer Laboratory – A computer laboratory has been provided for the students and the faculty with internet facility.
Sports - The campus has indoor and outdoor sports facilities for its students and staff.
Power Back-Up - The campus has 100% power back-up facilities for uninterrupted functioning of its activities.
Faculty Guest House - The University has separate Male and Female Guest Houses to accommodate faculty members respectively.
Drinking Water – There is facility for purified drinking water plant and water coolers for the health and hygiene of its students, staff and visitors.
Security - The campus has a 24x7 security available.
