The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet announced the dates for submitting examination forms for private candidates appearing in the Class 10 and 12 board exams 2027.
The boardโs examination circular page, updated on September 18, currently lists the September 10 notification regarding prior intimation for submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) for the 2026-27 academic session. However, the notification for private candidates has not been released.
For the 2026 board examinations, CBSE issued notifications for Class 10 and Class 12 private candidates on September 8, 2025. The application process began on September 9.
The notification covered candidates in different categories, including those marked โEssential Repeatโ, compartment candidates and students seeking improvement in one or more subjects.
The Class 12 notification was issued separately for the 2025-26 examination cycle.
The upcoming notification is expected to provide details about eligibility, application dates, examination fees, late-fee deadlines, available subjects and examination city selection.
CBSE had stated in the previous cycle that applications and fees would be accepted only online. Applications submitted after the prescribed deadline were not accepted.
Students should therefore wait for the official notification before submitting their forms.
Candidates must carefully check the eligibility requirements before applying. In the previous application cycle, students from earlier examination years were required to enter details such as their roll number and year of passing.
CBSE also warned that incorrect information could lead to rejection of an application.
The examination centre is allotted based on the city selected in the online application form. Candidates were advised to choose their city carefully, as changes were not permitted after allotment.
