The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the UGC NET June 2026 results for English, Commerce and Sociology. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check their results and download their scorecards through the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The results were declared on September 17 after the three subjects were re-examined on September 9 and 10. The re-examination was conducted at 454 centres across 272 cities in the country.
A total of 1,96,491 candidates had registered for the three subjects, of whom 1,20,355 appeared for the examination. Of the registered candidates, 1,29,552 were female, 66,931 were male and eight were from the third gender category.
According to the NTA, 824 candidates have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), while 11,610 candidates have qualified for Assistant Professor eligibility. Another 23,154 candidates have qualified under the PhD-only category.
The question papers, provisional answer keys and recorded responses were made available from September 10 to 13, allowing candidates to raise objections. The challenges were subsequently reviewed by subject experts, and the results were processed using the finalised answer keys.
