09th, September 2020: In a bid to promote literary enthusiasm among the students and help them improve their reading and writing skills, Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, announced the launch of a Book Writing Club on 8th September 2020, on the auspicious occasion of the International Literacy Day.
By establishing this club, Modern Public School will be able to give literature-oriented students a platform to showcase their skills to a wider audience - not to mention that this will also aid the students in building their co-curricular profile besides the academic one. This would be in line with the recent CBSE guidelines that have stressed the importance of student participation in non-academic activities, such as art, literature, and sports, as it is essential for the all-round development of the students.

The growth of digital media in recent years has reduced children’s ability to process information critically. Another major advantage of indulging students early in literary activities is that it helps them develop good communication skills.
