About Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET)

Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET) Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET), proffers courses in engineering science and technology located in upper Assam was founded in 1965. The institute covers a colossal 200 hector of land and is so large that it spreads over five districts that are under the jurisdiction of the Institute. The institute has its very own tea plantation stretched over 75 hectors of area to provide the perfect example of development and nature working together. The institute has over 17 teaching departments. Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology is commonly known as DIBRU. They have a well set up website that allows access to all information of the various events and awards and other such information that need constant communication with the students. The institution has a strict anti-ragging policy. Many measures are taken to prevent ragging those including spies to relay information under the radar. Spot checks and interrogation and cameras are installed all over to spot ragging. DUIET situated within the Dibrugarh University campus is located in the town of Dibrugarh in Upper Assam.
