JIS Educational group organizes second edition of JIS Samman on the 101th birth anniversary of SardarJodh Singh
Kolkata, 1st February 2021: Former Indian Cricket Captain Jhulan Goswami, singer Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty and scientist Dr. Biswadip Mitra were awarded with the ‘Mahasamman’ award at the second edition of JIS Samman on 1st February’21 held in Virtual platform.
The second edition of JIS Samman was organized to mark the completion of the 100th birth anniversary of Sardar Jodh Singh. The day is also considered as the foundation day of JIS Educational Group.
The main purpose of the event was to felicitate and acknowledge exceptional performances in the field of education, culture and sports. More than 1000 academicians and students have also been awarded with JIS Samman for their contribution in these fields.
Sardar Jodh Singh’s biography A Sardar Sardar by Dheeraj Sarthak and Dr. Arvind Yadav was also released by Satnam Kaur, wife of Sardar Jodh Singh to commemorate the day.
A coffee table book, ”Sardar Jodh Singh The Tale of a Visionary” on the Life sketch of Sardar Jodh Singh and his Family was also released by Dr. Saikat Maitra, the vice chancellor of MAKAUT.
