Program Overview
B.Voc Mobile Application Development at Kalinga University is a three-year undergraduate degree programme designed to equip students with the practical knowledge and technical skills required to design, develop, test and deploy mobile applications.
The programme introduces students to the rapidly evolving mobile technology ecosystem, with a focus on Android and iOS platforms, mobile programming, data structures, algorithms and application development. Semester 2 develops core programming and computing skills through Java, networking and data structures, supported by environmental studies and practical training.
- Object Oriented Programming using Java: Classes, objects, inheritance, interfaces, exception handling, multithreading, collections, Swing and Java networking.
- Environmental Studies: Ecosystems, natural resources, biodiversity, pollution, environmental policies, sustainability and disaster management.

Semester 4 expands programming and application development skills through Python, C#/.NET, data mining, mobile commerce and user-centered interface design.
- Python Programming: Python fundamentals, functions, strings, lists, object-oriented programming, tuples, sets, dictionaries and file handling.
- C# and .NET Programming: C# programming, classes, inheritance, .NET Framework, Windows Forms, ASP.NET, web services and ADO.NET database connectivity.
- Concept of Data Mining: Data warehousing, OLAP, data preprocessing, association rules, classification, clustering and data mining tools such as WEKA and RapidMiner.
- Mobile-Commerce & User-Centered Interface Design: E-commerce and mobile commerce, electronic payments, HCI, user-centered design, usability studies and interface evaluation.

Semester 5 moves into dedicated mobile application development, covering Android development, web technologies, multimedia and network security.
