About Oriental University
Oriental University has been given the University status under section 2f of UGC, 1956 Act with effect from May 2011. Earlier it was known by the name “Oriental Group”. Oriental University offers diverse courses in energy, civil aviation, refinery, environment, infrastructure sectors. Oriental University is spread over 100 acres of green sprawling campus on Indore-Ujjain highway near international airport and new proposed railway station. The University has exquisite infrastructure, houses spacious classrooms with latest teaching aids, well-equipped laboratories and workshops.

Library Facilities - The University Library plays an essential role for students and faculty. It has a collection of text books, e-books, e-journals, magazines and newspapers. The Library has also knowledge resources related to engineering & technology, pharmacy, basic sciences, management and education.
Hostel Facilities - There are separate hostels both for both boys and girls in the University. There is mess facility with all modern facilities in the hostels along with others such as in-house laundry, small shopping centre, music room, play courts etc.
Computer Centre - The Computer Centre is air conditioned, centrally located and functionally designed building and is equipped with computing resources to cater to the needs of the academic as well as the administrative activities. All buildings such as administration block, the Faculty Block, the Academic Block, the Computer Centre and the Library are connected by a fast Ethernet-switched network.
Classroom Facilities - All classrooms of the University are equipped with all modern teaching aids such as electronic media consisting of multimedia notebooks, LCD & O/H projectors, motorized screens, infrared pointers, cordless microphones and speakers, etc.
Sports Facilities - Oriental University offers excellent sports and recreation facilities on campus very soon. It encourages students to participate regularly in Inter Collegiate, Inter University and State Level Tournaments.
National Social Service (NSS) - The University also provides facilities for NSS volunteer students. It is involved in a wide spectrum of activities such as Social service – the community around the campus, cleaning the Oriental university campus, planting trees, conducting health camps in rural areas, organizing blood donation camps, advocacy on community health, creating AIDs awareness, helping NGOs to raise sponsorship and funds.
Bus Facilities - There is also good bus facilities for students’ ups and downs.
Gym Facilities - The University has equipped all hostels with gym and fitness centre for students to stay fit and healthy. There is also Yoga facilities.
Art & Culture - Oriental University provides opportunities to explore their creativity in cultural areas. Therefore cultural activities are organized several times during the year to encourage creativity and nurture talent.
Bank Facilities - Students and staff can utilize banking facilities. Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) has opened a branch in the University campus.
