The College of Agriculture, Kolhapur was established in the year 1963 under the Shivaji University, Kolhapur and started at Kasaba-Bavada, about four kilometer away from Central Bus Stand, Kolhapur. In 1968, after formation of Maharashtra Agricultural University; this College was transferred to the University.
