UGC NET which stands for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test is an exam conducted by the NTA the national Testing Agency twice a year to shortlist candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in different Colleges and Universities.
The UGC NET 2022 online registrations and applications have to commence from March 2022 on the official website of CBSE after the release of the official notification. While UGC NET 2021 Results are likely to be released in February. Some sources, however, say that the result is expected in mid-February but there is no such official confirmation.

Initially, this exam was mainly conducted by CBSE, but from 2018, the National Test Agency (NTA) conducts the NET on the behalf of UGC. For the candidates who are applying for JRF, the upper age limit is around 30 years while there are no age restrictions for the post of Assistant Professor. The UGC NET exam includes two distinct papers for both JRF and AF posts. You can check the minimum qualifying marks needed to qualify for the exam and get eligible for Assistant Professorship, Junior Research Fellowship, or both from the previous year's results.

Mainly the National Testing Agency, NTA conducted the UGC NET in December 2020 and June 2021 examination in the three phases. Phase 1 was conducted between mid of November 20-2021 December 5, 2021. Phase 2 was conducted between December 24 in 2021 till December 27, 2021, and Phase 3 was on January 4 and 6. Similarly The UGC NET JRF 2021 Exams were held on the following dates: 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30 November 2021, 01, 03, 04, 05, 24, 26, 27, 29, 30 December 2021, then on 4 and 5 January 2022. These exam dates were announced via a notification released by the NTA on 22nd October 2021 on the official website of the UGC NET.
UGC NET Paper 1 is compulsory for all the candidates to appear while the candidates have given options to choose the subject of Paper 2. The final merit list will be published based on the marks scored in both papers.

No official notice has been released for UGC NET 2022 yet but, the tentative date for commencement on registration and application for the exam is March 2022.
