New Delhi, 5th February, 2019: The Knowledge@Wharton High School (KWHS) Global Young Leaders Academy Summer Program, now in its fifth year, is receiving applications from students across the globe. KWHS is a part of the global Knowledge@Wharton network of online business journals at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
The KWHS Global Young Leaders Academy (GYLA) explores entrepreneurship, leadership, business and finance skills with select groups of high school students from around the world through classroom lessons and speakers, trips and competitions. High School students aged 15-18 years are eligible to apply through BrainGain Magazine, a study abroad online magazine that collaborates with KWHS on this program.
According to Shivang Singh, who earned top 2017 test scores in Delhi and the Near Central Region of India and is an alumnus of the Global Young Leaders Academy, the program was a memorable experience filled with learning. “It was a phenomenal two-week experience for me,” he says. “In fact, scoring a perfect 100 in Economics – the credit really goes to the program because there were so many topics, so many subject areas that were related to the Economics we were studying in school. I’ve been able to achieve a 100% scholarship from The University of Hong Kong to pursue a major in Economics.”
Many students have high praise for their GYLA experience, noting not only its academic strengths, but also benefits related to living on an Ivy League college campus, learning alongside a richly diverse group of young men and women, and more.
