Patna Medical College and Hospital (abbreviated PMCH) established in 1925 and originally known as Prince of Wales Medical College, is a medical college located in Patna, the state capital of Bihar, India.It is located on the southern bank of the river Ganges and is affiliated to Patna University. The exact location is on Ashok Rajpath which is home to many other notable colleges of Patna University. The college was a premier center for imparting medial education in pre-independence era, producing doctors such as Dr. Banerjee, Dr. Dukhan Ram etc. The college saw a drastic decline in its stature during the period of 1988-1998 due to the misrule in Bihar. However now it is on its way to recovery under an efficient leadership.
