National Institute of Technology Silchar (NITS), formerly known as Regional Engineering College (REC) was established as a joint venture of Govt. of India and Govt. of Assam registered under Society Registration Act XXI of 1860. NITS imparts a wide range of courses in the technical domain by imparting quality education.
The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in the Science & Engineering and Technological fields.
