RI Medical College, Guntur was started in 2003-2004 with an intake of 100 students with the kind permiss ion given by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as per the recommendations of the Medical Council of India.The college goal is to produce physicians who are prepared to serve the fundamental purposes of medicine. To this end, the college graduates will possess the attributes that are necessary to meet their individual and collective responsibilities to society.
The main objective of NRIAS is to promote the best in medical education & to produce doctors with global standards while providing affordable health care to the needy people of the society on non-profit basis with state-of-the-art facilities and modern medical equipment.
Campus :
The College and the Hospital are situated in a sprawling campus and has a total built-up area of 10,00,000 sq.ft comprising of 8 buildings. The entire necessary infrastructure is composed of fully-equipped laboratories, air-conditioned lecture halls attached with a 750 bed Teaching Hospital as per MCI norms. There teaching staff consists of many renowned professionals from Andhra Pradesh.
