- Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ooty was started in the year 1977. The Vidyalaya has classes from I to XII with an enrolment of 803. Class XI Science Stream was begun for the session 2007-08.

- Computer Education is provided by well qualified specialists from Class III to Class XII. The Vidyalaya has two well equipped Computer Laboratories with 60 computers.

- The Vidyalaya has ongoing schemes to provide extra coaching in sports, craft and fine arts. Remedial coaching classes are run for Class VI to XII students from July to December.
