About Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya - KSV
Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya is a University established vide Gujarat State Government Act 21 of 2007 in May 2007 and approved by UGC (ref F. 9-18/2008 (cpp-1) March 19, 2009). The University has been setup by Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal which was established in the year 1919, by a Philanthropist “Pujya Chhaganbha”. The University has commenced Ph. D. programmes in Management, Pharmacy, Education, Bio Technology, Sociology and Social Work, Computer Science/Computer Application, Engineering & Technology, Nano Science, Psychology, Chemistry, Commerce, Physical Education, English, Gujarati, Sanskrit, Hindi, Mathematics from the Academic Year 2008-09. The University has also commenced M.Phil. programmes in English, Education, and Physical Education from the Academic Year 2008-09. The University also has commenced M.Phil. programmes in English, Education, and Physical Education from the Academic Year 2008-09. The Nursing College has been established from the academic year 2008-09 in joint venture with Government of Gujarat in the Civil Hospital Premises of Gandhinagar. Constituent institutions of the University are accredited by NAAC B++ grade. The courses of various institutions of the university are also accredited by NBA.

Facilities
Hostels - Separate Hostels for Boys and Girls with subsidized Boarding and lodging.
Laboratory - The University has a well equipped laboratory comprising of equipments and instruments like Spectrophotometers, HPLC, HPTLC, Electrophoresis units, High speed cooling centrifuge, Ovens, Incubators, Autoclave, Incubator room, Rotary Shaker, Plant Tissue culture laboratory, Computers with internet facility etc.
Library - The University has an excellent Centralized Library with large numbers and multiple copies of important titles, reference books and national and international Journals. Additionally the Libraries of K. B. Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (KBIPER) and the Department of Biotechnology, KSV, have excellent collection of latest books of Microbiology, Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals apart from their Journals. E-Books and Internet facility with access to electronic Journal and Books is added facility provided to every student.
Assessment - The students are continuously evaluated through Mid Term assessments, Assignments, Seminars, End Term examinations, Group discussions, Article writing, Quiz competitions and Poster presentations. The University has adopted Grade System as desired by U.G.C. w. e. f. 2009-2011 Session. The minimum passing marks for each paper (Theory as well as practical is 50%). The details of assessment and examination systems are provided on the web site of KSV.
Seminars / Workshops - The University conducts various improvement based seminars/workshops on different topics which are aimed at helping the Guides and Scholars of Ph.D.
Placement Cell - The University has been interacting with various Industries and Institutions to provide them information on the analytical & research oriented capabilities being imparted and developed in the students.
Sports - Indoor Sports facilities like Table Tennis, Caroms, Chess etc. are available. Outdoor games facilities are also available like Cricket, Football etc.
Bus Facility - The students are provided with bus facilities at a very nominal charge of Rs.8000 per annum for ferrying them from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar.
Scholarships and Fees Waiver - The University provides various Scholarships which are made available by the State Government. The students are also provided fee waiver which include complete fee waiver on case to case basis.
Other Facilities - Hygienic and subsidized Canteen, Centrally Air conditioned Auditorium.
