KIMT - Kalinga Institute of Management & Technology Bhubaneswar was established in the year 2006 under the aegis of Kalinga Improvement & Educational Trust, Bhubaneswar. The Institute got the permission from Dept. of Higher Education (O) on 17/11/2007 to open college for imparting professional/management education in the challenging field of MFC, PMIR & BBA. The above courses have got affiliation from Utkal University, commencing the sixth batch for the session 2013-15 & 2013–16.The idea to establish this institute is, to create a centre of educational & professional excellence. The vision of the institution is to create a pool of highly educated human resource who can meet the ever increasing expectation of the corporate world.
