Established by the state Government of Haryana on 20th of April, 1987 to cater to the higher educational needs of the students of this rural belt of the state, the college was previously affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, but now it has its affiliation with Ch. Devi Lal University, Sirsa (w.e.f.2011-12 session), due to the Govt. decision to affiliate all Government and Private/ Aided colleges lying in Sirsa and Fatehabad districts to the latter. It was accredited as a C+ graded college by NAAC team, Bangalore in 2003. But, much has changed since then. The college has grown in stature and strength today, to become a leading co-educational institute, imparting general education up to graduation level in the twin faculties of Arts and Commerce.The campus here is beautiful and the staff dedicated. Our results may not be hundred percent, but these are definitely improving over the years. Similarly, the cases of mid-term drop outs (a phenomenon especially found in girls in this area owing to their marriage) and a general trend of absenteeism in classes are also decreasing substantially.
