Government Villupuram Medical College and Hospital is a medical institution started by the Government of Tamil Nadu in the year 2010. The hospital was shifted from the village to the college campus in the year 2010, the year the college opened.
The facility is situated in the village of Mundiyampakkam 8 km from Villupuram. It is situated along the Chennai - Trichy highway (NH 45) 154 km from Chennai. It is opposite to the mundiyampakkam railway station.
The college is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University , which belongs to the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is accredited by the MCI.
