Who gets approved without collateral
Lenders mainly look at three things: the university and course you’ve been admitted to, your grades and test scores, and your co-applicant’s income and credit score. Admits to well-ranked universities for STEM and management courses tend to get the best offers.
Lenders with the highest collateral-free limits
ICICI Bank, Avanse, Poonawalla Fincorp and Edgro go up to ₹1 crore; Auxilo up to ₹80 lakh; Axis Bank, IDFC FIRST Bank, Credila, InCred, Tata Capital and FinZ up to ₹75 lakh*. MPOWER Financing and Prodigy Finance lend without a co-signer for eligible universities.
Compare more than the interest rate
Check whether the rate is fixed or floating, the processing fee, the moratorium and whether interest is due while you study, and whether funds can be released before your visa for a GIC or blocked account.
Collateral or no collateral?
Both can fund up to 100% of your costs*. It comes down to how much you need and what your family can offer as security.
