What Shape Am I? | Educational Videos

Hello boys and girls,

How are you all?

today we will talk about shapes

We know shapes by their sides and angles but before we understand some shapes let's read you what are sides and angles.

So let's take a look at the shape right here.

This is a trapezoid .How many sides are there on my trapezoid ,

Now these sides are just the straight lines Now let's count the straight lines all the sites together

I see 1234. This trapezoid has four sides .I know that in the strap there are also four angles. This angle is where two sides meet. They are kind to like the corners. Again there are one , two , three , and four corners Angles in the shape .

To identify the sides and angles we just need to see closely What is sides of the straight lines are the corners that are the angles .

So let's use this information to solve the worksheet that we have next .

Showing the worksheet asks what shape I am?

Check the shape and then the description it's just like a guessing game

So let's read the first sentence and see what shape it is

I have three sides and three angles ,Ok can you think of a shape with 3 sides and 3 angles

Now when I hear 3 immediately only the first thing that comes to my mind is is a triangle

Let's draw a triangle to see this .

Let's count the Number of sides in the triangle,

so there are 12 three sides and 12 three angles

This natural is the definition of three sides and three angles so the shape for the first question in the worksheet is triangle. What shape am i?

and I am a triangle.

Now we have gone to the next shape

Description says that I have no angles

h m m m can you think of a shape that has no angles ,I will give you a hint the shape also has No sides as well .

Now we will look at the three shapes there is a circle ,A hexagon and a trapezoid

It's pretty easy to tell that only Shape with no sides is a circle ,

The hexagon has 123456 that is 6 sides and a trapezoid as 1234 that is fore size.

so the only shape with no angles and sides is a circle.

Let's meet the next description

I have six sides and six angles

Can you think of a shape that has six sides and six angles

Just mentioned it in our last example I think I remember saying the hexagon

Just to be sure, here we come 123456. Yes, the hexagon has 6 sides. Now let's check the angles 1 2 3 4 5 6 exactly. It has 6 angles too.

Talking of the Other shapes the Pentagon has 1 2 3 4 5 sides and 12345 angles

and the triangle has three sides and three angles as we discussed earlier.

So it's quite obvious that the answer is a hexagon with 6 angles and 6 sides. What shape am i?

I am a hexagon.

Last description says That I have 4 equal sides now

we have the following options The rectangle trapezoid and Square,

the problem is is that all the three of them that is the rectangle trapezoid and square has four sides and four angles respectively so the answer isn't hidden with the sides and the angle but the description also says for equal sides

And as we know a square always has equal sides and that too 4

So now we have the answer: what shape am I?

I am a square.

Great job kids.

We solved the worksheet so quickly and smartly.

thank you so much and I would love to see you next time

till then take care and bye.
