ITER was established in the year 1996. In the year 2007, the institute became a Deemed to be University with the name of Siksha O Anusandhan University (SOA). ITER is recognised by AICTE, New Delhi.  It is also called faculty of Engineering & Technology of SOA. The institute is accredited with ’A’ grade by NAAC.
